In fact, most of our honey is harvested in the northern Southeast, with additional sources in states like Florida and South Dakota so we can provide our exceptional specialty honeys.

Gourmet Honey Company partners with only the best beekeepers and honey farmers who practice high standards in quality control and the care of their bees. The protection of bees is a critical part of our global environment, with bees acting as one of the most successful and necessary pollinators on Earth. Sustainable and ethical beekeeping ensures the survival of one of the world’s most important creatures and provides a product enjoyed by people of all ages across the globe.
Because we know how important bees are and how critical proper conservation is for quality honey, our love and care for bees and the precious honey they produce is our top priority. Our company personally travels to the farms we partner with, located in the perfect sourcing regions for particular specialty flavors, and ensures the honey is ethically harvested and properly maintained during transportation to our location in Southwest Tennessee.

Beginning in 1979 as Rich’s Honey, and later known as Beelicious Honey, Gourmet Honey Company is owned by Rich’s Health Foods and was founded by Larry and Pat Rich out of a love for honey and a need for quality honey varieties on the market.
Today, Larry and Pat remain part owners with their son, John Rich, as CEO. John and Larry are also both US military veterans, making Gourmet Honey Company a true veteran-owned American business! While our premium honey quickly gained a reputation as the purest and tastiest honey in the northern Southeast, after 40 years of dedication to providing top quality honey locally, we knew it was time to share the sweetness with honey lovers across the country!
